Google Mobile Maps now offers traffic service for major metro areas. This was just way too cool to not download and install on my Blackberry today.
This initial load of the map takes about as long as the map w/o traffic. Selecting the option “show traffic” from the menu, gives you a default zoom level that makes the basic traffic color coding easy to read. This is good to help prevent accidents on smaller screens. I will certainly be using this in the future, now if Google could help avoid the heat around here :)
